Assistant City Engineer - City of Onalaska, WI
The City of Onalaska is accepting applications for the position of Assistant City Engineer. Under supervision of the City Engineer, an employee in this class performs skilled professional field or office civil engineering work, participates in complex land surveys, engineering inspections, investigations, and maintenance on construction of engineering projects. Prepares plans and specifications for sanitary sewers, water mains, storm sewers, streets, and other infrastructure.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (from accredited ABET school) with registration as an Engineer in Training required or ability to obtain such registration within twelve months of employment, registration as a professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin preferred. A minimum of three (3) years experience in engineering, preferably in the municipal area. Ability to work on multiple tasks establishing priorities for work; have strong oral and written communication skills; ability to use full range of computer programs, equipment and materials as applied to civil engineering, including Microsoft Office Suite, GIS and CAD-based software programs; Must have a valid driver?s license. Salary range $48,470 - $51,321.
