The Communications Committee was started in 2010 to combined several chapter functions related to communications, including chapter-wide emails, use of the chapter website and social media applications, web conferencing capability and general overview of the newsletter program. President Mike Dailey (2011) formed a social media task force to form recommendations for use of social media or networking by the Chapter. The task force was formed in early 2011 from the 2009 and 2010 emerging leaders and began working together in February, 2011. The task force produced and presented a report to the Wisconsin Chapter at the 2011 Fall Conference in Wausau, WI that resulted in formation of a LinkedIn group page for the Chapter and a Twitter account. Paul Klajbor (City of Milwaukee) is responsible for managing the LinkedIn group page. Matt Bednarski (SEH) is responsible for managing the Twitter account.

2013 - 2015 Transportation Committee Chair is Rob Phillips, City of Madison. The Transportation Committee routinely meets during the spring and fall conferences each year and will hold teleconference meetings when needed. The Transportation Committee is interested in sharing information in regards to technology and best practices for roads, bridges, bike paths and pedestrian facilities. The Transportation Committee is interested in compiling a data base of inovative transportation project components in the area of green roads and sustainability. The data base would provide a brief summary of the project component, list a project contact and provide some rough cost data when applicable. The idea is to provide meaningful information to other transportation engineers and to begin to quantify the cost and benefits of certain project components that advance water quality and sustainability.
