Welcome to Lake Geneva!
The Cities of Fitchburg & Stoughton and the Village of Cottage Grove are excited to be co-hosting the 2010 Fall Conference at the Grand Geneva. We kick off on Wednesday with a Food Drive, Wii Bowing Tournament at the registration booth and a Get Acquainted Party at the Ski Chalet at the Grand Geneva. To support the local food pantry, we will be collecting non-perishable food items at the registration booth.
A program of 13 educational sessions will take place on Thursday and Friday. Doug Cartland who has spoke to our Chapter before, will be the speaker for two general sessions on Thursday. On Friday we will learn about the Best of Public Works in Wisconsin and Public Works in Iraq. The banquet on Thursday evening will include a presentation of our 2010 Scholarship winners and a live game show. We will hold the “Ugliest Bowling Shirt”contest before the entertainment so make sure to wear that old shirt to show off to others. An excellent spouse/ guest program has been arranged for both days.
The Education Committee has obtained approval for you to receive CEU credits for the technical sessions from the American PublicWorks Association (APWA), an authorized provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Please be sure to collect the CEU Request Form, that is located in the back of the room following each session.
We hope your stay in Lake Geneva is enjoyable. We have arranged for the 2010 Fall Conference room rate to be available for three days before and three days after the conference. Have your family and friends come after the conference and enjoy the adjoining water park at the conference rate. If you need any help during the conference, please contact any of the conference hosts who can be identified by their bowling shirt.
