The Chapter's Public Relations Committee has been "re-tasked" with somewhat different goals and objectives as we have rearranged some of the Chapter's committees to better address today's needs. Look for further information here as the committee picks up its continuing responsibilities and launches new ones!
CHAPTER SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Chapter and Conference sponsorship opportunities for 2013 are described in the letter below. The Chapter is also offering a new opportunity to directly sponsor the Chapter's scholarship program, beginning in 2013. The letter provides an overview of this new program as well as details of all the Chapters sponsorship opportunities. The form is used for enrollment in the Chapter's various event and scholarship sponsorship programs.
APWA WI INTRODUCTION TO WISCONSIN LEGISLATORS
In early 2012, the Public Relations Committee led preparation of a letter written to introduce Wisconsin's legislators to the American Public Works Association. It was sent to various members of the Wisconsin State Legislature on February 2, 2012, and also informed the legislators that the Wisconsin Chapter intends to have a meet and greet session with them in mid-May. Information on that meeting will be posted here and in the EVENTS section as it is finalized.
PROPOSED JOINT BIDDING LAW PROHIBITION ISSUE
The APWA Wisconsin Chapter submitted correspondence to Governor Walker and members of the Wisconsin State Legislature in opposition to Omnibus Transportation Motion, Motion #352, Item #18 on June 13, 2011. The Chapter Executive Committee endorsed the Chapter's position in opposition to this proposed legislation the letter, which is accessible at the bottom of this page or through this link:
