I want to make you aware of a FREE FEMA training opportunity that may be of interest to public works and public service:
FEMA’s National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service) will be conducting FREE infrastructure disaster management training in Wisconsin. There are four (4) different courses offered as part of a certificate program with two (2) specifically related to public works.
1. The first class specific to public works will be hosted in Madison, December 10-11th. The course is “Disaster Management for Public Service” (MGT-317).
2. The second class is “Disaster Management for Water and Wastewater Utilities” (MGT-343). This course will be in Madison, March 6-7, 2019.
Attendees will need to go to https://www.trainingwisconsin.org/ and log-in or create an account first if they don’t have one (link on top right of the page). Once logged in, they will click on the “schedule” tab, find the course on the calendar, select it, and enroll.
