The “alternate” event, for those who don’t golf, is a paddle event at nearby Pike Lake State Park. Participants are welcome to provide their own boats and gear; a limited number of kayaks and gear are available to use on a first-registered, first-served basis. In addition to paddling the perimeter of Pike Lake (3.5 miles), paddling and rescue instruction will be offered to willing participants. Cost is $25 for the event and includes a grilled picnic lunch, access to the Pike Lake State Park Beach and access to the kayak launch. You can register on the chapter website or via the link below. Please contact Jeff Mazanec or Nathan Wachtendonk if you are planning to attend the Pike Lake event so they can coordinate gear and lunch.
If you can't attend this year summer outing, there is a registration option to donate to the scholarship fund. Using the link above, Click “Register Now” at the top of the screen, and select “Myself”. From this screen you can select Scholarship Donation. It is set up as a $5 item, but you can increase the quantity if you wish to donate more. For example, you would enter a quantity of "5" to donate $25.
As a fundraiser, all money raised through event registration, sponsorship payments and donations goes directly to the Wisconsin Chapter scholarship fund. The event committee would like to thank the sponsors (listed on the event webpage) who have already committed to this great event and we welcome anyone else who wants to sponsor this year’s outing!
