REGISTRATION: All registration will be completed through the Whova mobile conference app. The registration process includes several questions to help us more accurately plan our meals and activities. Here are some registration tips: 1. Full Registration - All full registration tickets include all conference sessions, the exposition and social events, but not the golf outing. Full registration ticket prices increase after April 14, 2023. 2. Golf Outing - Limited to 40 participants and NOT included in full registration; must purchase Golf Outing ticket. Register by April 28, 2023. 3. Member Discount - members qualify for a $50 discount on the Full Registration tickets by entering coupon code "m50" when purchasing the ticket. This only applies to the Full Registration tickets for this conference. 4. Exhibitors - 37 exhibit booth tickets are available for this conference exposition, each identified by booth number (ie: V-1 to V-37). Use the Vendor Exhibit Map to identify booth locations and the active ticket list in the Whova app to identify which exhibit spots are currently available. Specific booth tickets will no longer be available in the Whova app immediately upon purchase. Each exhibit booth registration includes one full conference registration. Register Now on WhovaCONFERENCE PROGRAM: The conference program follows the standard spring conference format, with a Wednesday golf outing, biking event, technical tour all followed by our evening Get Acquainted Party at the River Prairie Center in Altoona. Thursday brings a full day of conference sessions, our one-day vendor exposition and networking leading up to our annual evening awards banquet and entertainment to wrap up the day. Friday morning features technical sessions followed by lunch and door prizes to end the conference. The APWA WI Group Rate at The Lismore for Tuesday night is $119/night. Reservations can be made online via the The Lismore's APWA WI Booking Link. Alternatively, guests can call (715) 835-8888, then select “0” for the Lismore Hotels Front Desk. Provide the 3-digit Group Code "APW" to get the APWA WI rate. Additional Nearby Hotels include: Staybridge Suites APWA WI Booking Link ($120/night) Holiday Inn Express APWA WI Booking Link ($116 & $120/night options) EXHIBITORS: SETUP WEDNESDAY 1-6pm AND THURSDAY 7-8am. ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE SET UP BY 8 AM THURSDAY. The Exhibit is open only through Thursday of the conference, with 37 exhibit booths (~10 ft width) including a 6' table and 2 chairs. Electrical outlet locations are shown in the Vendor Exhibit Map. Booth selection is first come, first served through the registration process. GOLF OUTING REGISTRATION DEADLINE: NOON ON APRIL 28, 2023 BIKE TOURS: Join your public works colleagues on one or two bike tours (1.5 PDHs each) of the Eau Claire / Altoona area led by current and former City staff and officials involved with planning the bike facilities. Both rides start and finish at the Lismore Hotel. No charge for the Bike Tours; however, we do ask that you register via the Whova app. Bike Tour 1 (Wed., 9-10:30am) River Prairie Route (~8.7 miles) Bike Tour 2 (Wed., 10:30am-Noon) City Center Route (~7.6 miles) BYO bike, helmet and comfortable spring weather clothing/ footwear. Rental bikes (E-bikes, City Cruisers, and Trail Bikes) are available locally at Eau Claire Adventure Rentals and The Local Store if you don't want to bring your own bike. TECHNICAL TOUR: This year’s technical tour will be a walking tour of Eau Claire's City Hall Renovation and Library Construction. No charge for the tour; lunch is not included. Meet in the Lismore Hotel lobby for a 1pm departure time. Return time is 3:30pm. (1.5 PDHs)
Shuttle service via 2 coach buses will be provided between the Lismore Hotel and the River Prairie Center from 5:30-10pm. AWARDS BANQUET: The Thursday night awards banquet will recognize this year's projects and individuals who are being recognized through the Chapter's annual awards program. In addition to celebrating people and projects with great food and company, the evening's theme will be "alumni wear." YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HOSTED EVENT: Join the APWA WI Chapter YP group at the Reboot Social (220 S Barstow St., Eau Claire, WI 54701) after conclusion of the Awards Banquet (about 8 PM Thursday May 4) to enjoy the company of your public works colleagues while playing arcade games! (No worries if you’ve exceeded the YP group age – this event is open to everyone and all are encouraged to attend!) MOBILE CONFERENCE APP: We are excited to be using the Whova mobile app for this conference based on its great success in our past conferences. All the conference information is available through it, saving the cost and waste of printed conference programs. WISCONSIN CHAPTER CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made by April 21, 2023 will be granted a full refund less a twenty-five dollar ($25) administrative fee. No refunds will be given after April 21, 2023. Special circumstances will be decided on a case by case basis, first by the host committee and then with approval of the Executive Committee. The host committee must receive all special circumstance requests by May 12, 2023. All requests received after this date will be denied. Individuals requesting a refund are required to submit their requests to the host committee and copy the treasurer and must include their mailing address and to whom the check should be written.
