Description :Session OverviewThis session will help owners and designers understand the differences in rigid vs flexible storm sewer pipe. Connecting highway projects are typically owned by a municipality, designed by a consultant and let by WisDOT. Should it be the municipality, WisDOT, the low bid contractor, or the design consultant that ultimately decides on what pipe type should be used? Primary Learning Objectives
SpeakersClark Wantoch is the Executive Director for the Wisconsin Concrete Pipe Association. Clark works with the WCPA’s twelve-member Board of Directors who represent reinforced concrete pipe manufacturing plants within Wisconsin and Illinois along with over 40 Associate Members providing services to the concrete pipe industry. Prior to this, Clark was with the City of Milwaukee’s Department of Public Works for 34 years, retiring as the head of the Administration and Transportation Division. Clark is a Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering along with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Clark has been a member of the Wisconsin Chapter of APWA for over 40 years. Paul Woodard is the Director of Public Works for the City of Janesville. Paul holds a BSCE from Purdue University and is a licensed engineer in the States of Illinois and Wisconsin. He has over 30 years in local government experience and is a 2018 APWA Top Ten Public Works Leader of the Year. Paul is also a Past President of the Wisconsin APWA Chapter and currently serves as a Delegate for the Chapter. Details
